What can I expect from Lapoint surf camps?
Our surf camps are built around three things: time in the water, real progression, and a welcoming surf community. Every camp combines professional coaching, local surf knowledge, and a social setup that makes it easy to settle in and feel part of the crew from day one. You surf, you learn, you hang out. Simple as that.
For beginners, joining a surf camp is one of the best ways to learn to surf. At Lapoint, beginners learn in a safe and supportive environment with professional instructors who know the local conditions inside out (AKA the right spot at the right tide!).
Lessons are planned around tide, swell, and wind, and you always surf with the right board in the right conditions. That means faster progress, fewer wipeouts, and way more fun in the water. The camp setup also makes it easy to meet people, which is why many solo travellers choose Lapoint for their first surf trip.
Our surf camps are ideal for intermediate surfers who want to improve while still enjoying a proper surf holiday. Intermediate surfers can join lessons focused on technique, wave selection, and confidence, or mix coached sessions with free surfing.
Our instructors know how to read the conditions and help you make the most of every session. Between surfs, camp life offers plenty of chances to relax, recover, and connect with other surfers who are at a similar level and stoked to spend time in the ocean. For advanced surfers, we offer comfort, local insight, and guided access to quality waves. Instead of lessons, the focus is on surf guiding and timing sessions correctly.
Our experienced staff helps you navigate local conditions, tides, and swell windows so you score the best possible waves during your stay. You get a solid home base, a crew to surf with, and local knowledge that makes a real difference in the water.

The beach is our home. We are leaving it better than we found it.
We have made a commitment to our ocean, beaches and community. They are our playground, our home and our livelihood. We are going to leave them better than we found them. That means that all our employees, friends and guests helps out with recycling and taking other actions for the environment. Each week there are beach cleaning and recycling activities to ensure that our home stays the way it was supposed to be.
