Why do we have fixed arrival dates?

Arrival-dates-Lapoint-surf-camps

Ever wondered why we have fixed arrival days at Lapoint? It’s not just a schedule thing—it’s a vibe thing.

We love the idea of endless flexibility, but when it comes to surfing, structure is key. That’s why our surf programs follow a set weekly schedule. Here’s why it makes your trip better:

A real surf community from day one: Arriving together means making friends fast. From sharing waves to sunset hangouts, you’ll be part of a crew from the get-go.

Progression that actually sticks: Surfing isn’t something you just “pick up.” Each session builds on the last, making sure you improve at the right pace without missing key fundamentals.

A smoother experience, every step of the way: From airport pickups to surf lessons and group meals, everything runs seamlessly when everyone starts together. Less stress, more surfing.

  • Passport

  • Beachwear

  • Sunglasses

  • Towels: We provide bath towels, but please bring your own beach towels.

  • Plastic bottles: At Lapoint, we destroy waves, not the planet. Therefore, as a part of our sustainability program, we don’t sell any plastic bottles and try to limit the use of plastic at the camp. In doing so, please bring a reusable water bottle for your trip to Bali. If you don’t own one, don’t worry, we sell environmentally friendly aluminium water bottles on-site.

  • Sunscreen: The UV index in Bali is very high, so it’s advised to use appropriate skin protection while living the dream here in paradise. To reduce pollution, we recommend using Oxybenzone-free products and help conserve our favourite playground - the ocean. We sell environmentally friendly zinc at the camp.

Sustainability

The beach is our home. We are leaving it better than we found it.

We have made a commitment to our ocean, beaches and community. They are our playground, our home and our livelihood. We are going to leave them better than we found them. That means that all our employees, friends and guests helps out with recycling and taking other actions for the environment. Each week there are beach cleaning and recycling activities to ensure that our home stays the way it was supposed to be.
