Summer is coming to Norway’s most beautiful surf destination

We believe Hoddevik is Norway’s most beautiful surf destination. Nestled between majestic mountains and wild nature on the stunning west coast of Norway, and with a picture-perfect sandy beach, it’s easy to see why it’s called the Nordic Hawaii. And the best time to visit is now!

Summer is such a special time here in Hoddevik, and we’re going to make the most of every day. The long days mean that you can surf from sunrise to sunset, and combine your surf experience with exploring the stunning surroundings as well. The viewpoints will take your breath away, and you will never forget the landscape.

The setting of the camp is perfect for a summer trip – situated minutes from the picturesque beach, you can go for a sunrise surf in the morning and watch the sunset by a bonfire with your new friends in the evening.

So how do you get to our surf camp in Hoddevik, you ask?

There are daily bus connections from Trondheim and Oslo, and the closest bus stop is one hour from the bay, called Bryggja. From here you can take a taxi to the camp. From Bergen, you can take a beautiful five-hour ferry ride to Selje and then a one-hour taxi ride to the camp.

You can also fly into one of the closest airports, Ørsta/Volda or Sandane, and rent a car to drive the 2,5 hours to the bay. The journey is part of the experience – Norway’s nature is out-of-this-world, and you’ll encounter incredible views on your way here. And trust us, once you arrive, it’s sooo worth it – you might not even want to leave.
