Happy news - on the 5th of July we are opening up our surf camp in Ericeira!
After some shaky months around the world we are happy to announce that we are now opening up our surf and yoga camp in Ericeira again on the 5th of July!
So, how are things going in Portugal?
Portugal is now open for tourism, and the borders are open for all European nationalities and no quarantaine. The spring weather has been amazing, with less tourists and less people in the line-ups - meaning more possibilities to surf, learn faster and get the waves for yourself!
Supermarkets, boutiques, restaurants and beaches are open as normal, but the nightclubs are still closed and calls for a more relaxed atmosphere in the village. The bars are open though, so you won’t miss out on your after surf beer!
And how is it in the camp?
Our camp is from the 5th of July open as normal, with surf camps and yoga retreats. Of course, we are in contact with the health authorities in Portugal - and we are happy to say that we have gotten a “Clean and Safe” certification of the Portuguese tourist department (Turismo de Portugal), meaning that we are following their guidelines for cleaning and sanitation.
Food and facilities - running as normal
Our bar and restaurant is open as usual, but instead of having a buffet breakfast we will serve you a delicious breakfast plate - or if you decide to have a breakfast bag to go you could have that instead. Your choice!
Take a dip in the swimming pool, get sweaty at our outdoor gym or hang out by the skate bowl, all facilities at the camp are open.
As usual, you book a full week Surf camp, Yoga retreat or Bed and breakfast with arrival day on Sundays - we always have a fixed arrival day to make everyone arrive at the same day, get to know each other and have a great week together. Of course, you and your friends can book different camps/retretats or different surf levels - bring both your surf and yoga friends and have an amazing week together, even if you are booked on different activities during the days.
Smaller groups for surf lessons
To help you learn how to surf is one of our biggest passions, we would like to share our waves with you! With licensed surf instructors our lessons are open as normal, but we will have a maximum of 5 people in each surf group.
Stay in a dorm, or book your private single/double/twin room
You can book a bed in a dorm, a double/twin room or a suite as normal. Are you travelling by yourself? If you don't want to stay in a dorm, you can book a twin room just for you for an additional cost.
I wanna go, how do I get to Lisbon and Ericeira these days?
Actually, it is pretty easy to fly to Lisbon even these days and you can get a cheap round-trip flight from most of the big airports in Europe. If you don’t want to fly, Lisbon has good bus connections with other European countries. Or why not make it a road trip and fill the car with other surf hungry friends.
Once in Lisbon, you can decide to find a way to get to the camp yourself, or you can book our transfer from Lisbon airport and we’ll pick you up and take you to the camp, safe and sound.
