Level 2 - Green Wave Surf Course - Costa Rica

This laid-back destination is not only perfect for surfing, but also to let go of everyday’s stress and hang loose.

a typical day

We alternate between surfing early and late in the day, and when we’re surfing early we’re up somewhat early in order to enjoy the mornings when the surf is the best. When your body is surfed out we head back to the camp and have a well-deserved lunch. The rest of the day is pretty much up to you; whether you want to stay by the pool, go to the beach, to town, or go on one of the many local attractions (beautiful beaches, jungle, horse riding, waterfalls etc.). After this, we serve dinner five times a week at the camp where we relive all the epicness of the day.

who is level 2 for?

    • This level is designed for those of you that have passed our level 1 or can catch and ride a whitewater wave on your own. Level 2 will focus on getting to the outside (lineup) in waist high waves. We’ll teach you to catch green waves and ride the face of the wave instead of going straight in the white water.

Misc information

  • Flights

  • There are many different alternatives and airlines. Check for example www.momondo.com or other simular sites for cheap flights. The flight time is about 12 hours. We recommend taking one night in San Jose on arrival, due to the fact that all flights arrive late at night. If you’ve arranged transportation through us, we’ll arrange accommodation, and then you’re free to do whatever you’d like before heading to the camp the next morning
  • Transportation to camp

    • The easiest way to get to the camp is by our shuttle bus which goes from your hotel at 08:00, and will be at the camp at 14:00. The local bus departs from San Jose and goes to Santa Teresa, and is a great way to travel if you’re on a tight budget. It’s also possible to travel by a local airliner, which costs about 90 USD. It’s helpful to know some Spanish if you’re considering one of these options.
  • Meals

    • Breakfasts and five dinners are included in the package. We also serve lunch daily a la carte from our camp restaurant.
