So, what should I expect?
This is how we do the weekends in snowkiting heaven
Haukeliseter is one of the best places to snowkite in Norway. The endless space we have to play with offers lots of snow and powder runs, hills, kickers, cliffs to jump off and stunning scenery. The lodging sits right on the kiting spot, so don't worry if you get cold quickly, you have immediate access to a fireplace and coffee in-between sessions.
The program starts Friday evening at 21:00 with an introduction to each other and the program for the weekend. During this session, there will also be a theory class about kiting, safety and equipment, and we will discuss your level and learning goals.
The next day we wake up to a yummy breakfast buffet with fresh bread from the bakery, homemade granola, a wide range of hams, salmon, herring, cheese from the area and much more.
Most days, we kite outside the resort, but sometimes we also drive to explore other spots as well.
After a long day of kiting, sunshine and fun, we return to the kite camp and share adventures in the outdoor hot tub while surrounded by the fresh mountain air, snow and the stars in the sky. In the evening, we feast on a three-course dinner made with local ingredients such as lamb, reindeer, grouse, cod or trout.
The beach is our home. We are leaving it better than we found it.
We have made a commitment to our ocean, beaches and community. They are our playground, our home and our livelihood. We are going to leave them better than we found them. That means that all our employees, friends and guests helps out with recycling and taking other actions for the environment. Each week there are beach cleaning and recycling activities to ensure that our home stays the way it was supposed to be.
